One of the most significant milestones in the history of Swissbit was the takeover of the Berlin company, Optosys Technologies GmbH.  After the merger, the synergy between Swissbit Germany and Optosys strengthened Swissbit’s knowledge base, design capability, and innovation potential.  Additionally, Swissbit’s product portfolio grew due to the combined efforts of both companies.

Swissbit Germany specializes in CSP, COB/COF, Flip Chip, Die Stacking, and Multichip technology.  Swissbit is a global leader in the memory manufacturing industry and sets standards for the Industrial and Embedded markets.  One of Swissbit Germany’s accomplishments was the release of the world’s first 1GB CompactFlash card and the first 1GB MicroDIMM.
